Role Overview:The Staff Accountant is a foundational member of our client delivery team, providing hands-on accounting services to a dynamic portfolio of fast-growing consumer brands, technology companies, and food and beverage businesses. This role offers rare breadth for an early-career accountant: real exposure across multiple industries, business models, and accounting disciplines, all within a collaborative and high-growth environment.You will work closely with Senior Accountants, Accounting Managers, and our international partner teams to manage day-to-day accounting operations across a portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate brings sharp attention to detail, genuine curiosity, and a service-first mindset. You are a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses a solid foundational accounting background, communicates proactively, and holds yourself to a high standard of accuracy and integrity. This client service-focused role prioritizes the needs of the client and their experience ahead of all else.ResponsibilitiesAccounting & ReportingProcess AP, AR, GL, inventory, and payroll transactionsPrepare reconciliation schedules for balance sheet accounts such as: prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued liabilities, and deferred revenuePrepare financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow)Assist with review and troubleshooting of inventory management and COGS issuesPrepare local compliance filings, business property tax, business licenses and 1099sAssist with financial/accounting and governmental auditsManage client expense reporting processMaintain consistent accounting policies and procedures across clientsResolve internal Quality Control review findingsClient ServicesDeliver high quality client service to a portfolio of clients in multiple industriesDevelop an understanding of client teams and clients’ business modelsSupport senior team members in responding to clients’ day-to-day accounting questions and needsWork with our international partners to ensure tasks are completed and deliveredQualifications2+ years of operational accounting experienceAn undergraduate degree in Accounting or FinanceExperience with QBO, NetSuite and related software tools (Shopify, SOS, Cin7) a plusWorking knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Teams, OutlookExcellent written and verbal communication skills, IQ, and EQProactive communicator with strong attention to detail and organizational skillsA passion for supporting start-up companies, learning and driving process improvementsExposure to e-commerce start-up or consumer packaged goods a plusCPA candidacy or Big-4 experience a plusBenefitsSalary range: $55,000- $65,000 plus benefits and 401k matchCurrent Benefits Offered: Generous Paid Time Off and Holiday pay, Comprehensive health benefits plus dental, vision, short and long-term disability, and life insurance.
