You will develop, automate, and maintain data pipelines, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of our data systems. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing data engineering workflows and upholding the highest standards of data governance and security.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Lead data architecture discussions and design scalable, reliable data systems that support our growing business needsBuild and maintain production-grade data pipelines using modern data stack tools and methodologiesPartner with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions that drive business valueMentor team members and contribute to our culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharingEnsure data quality, privacy, and governance standards across all data initiativesMust have:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer in data-rich organizations3+ years specifically in data engineering, with experience leading data architecture discussions and technical decision-makingExperience with a major cloud platform (AWS/GCP etc), ideally with some exposure to Infrastructure as Code or remote configuration tools.Hands-on experience with cloud-native data warehouses such as BigQuery (preferred), Snowflake, Redshift, and data lakes architecturesExperience with transformation tools like dbt, and distributed data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Apache Flink.Strong coding experience in Python/Scala and advanced SQL knowledge across relational and non-relational databasesMaintain and optimize high-performance data pipelines with comprehensive CI/CD automation, implementing observability frameworks (metrics, logging, distributed tracing) and data quality gates to ensure pipeline freshness, accuracy, and completenessDrive data-platform architecture decisions by turning ambiguous problems into technical designs and project plans and taking ownership of the end-to-end solutions.Strong communication skills to effectively partner with stakeholders across the organizationProven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in team environmentsGood to haveExperience working with Internet and technology companiesExperience working with Telco, MNOs & MNVOsExperience working in a fast-paced scale up environmentBy applyingBy applying, you acknowledge and agree that, in case of successful application, Airalo may request to run background checks as a condition for entering into an agreement with you.
