Recognized as a Best Place to Work and one of Deloitte's fastest-growing companies for the past 5 years, we're here to raise the standard for what cloud security and workplace culture should be.If you have the passion to dig deeper, the desire to challenge convention, and the curiosity to build something better, Sysdig is the right place for you.What you will doContribute to Sysdig's scale-out effort by designing and building backend features that handle increasing customer demand and data volume, reporting to Sr. Manager, Engineering.Develop scalable APIs and services that power runtime threat detection, policy enforcement, and alerting.Work with a team of engineers to evolve architecture for reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency.Collaborate with Product, Threat Research, Frontend, Design, and Customer-facing teams to create features with impact.Handle real-time and historical security data across multi-cloud environments including Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, and IBM Cloud.Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and operational support of services your team owns.What you will bring with you7+ years of professional experience in backend software development.Strong computer science fundamentals, in algorithms, data structures, systems design, and large-scale distributed systems.Hands-on experience designing and building scalable backend services, including APIs and data processing pipelines.Experience with Go, Java, or C++ in production environments.Experience with containerized workloads and cloud-native infrastructure.Experience logging best practices and emitting useful metrics for observability and troubleshooting of distributed systems.Experience with AI tools to increase your and your team's productivity.Experience building or operating security products is a plus.What we look forLanguages: Go, Python, JavaDatastores: Elasticsearch / QuickWit, Redis, Postgres / SQLMessaging & Streaming: NATS / JetStream, KafkaInfrastructure: Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, Harness, JenkinsCloud: AWS, GCP, IBM CloudAI: Gemini Pro, Cursor, Claude Code, CopilotWhen you join Sysdig, you can expect:Extra days off to prioritize your well-beingMental health support for you and your family through the Modern Health appGreat compensation packageClosingWe would love for you to join us!
