What is this role about?
We’re looking for a sharp, culturally-savvy team member based in Vietnam who can be our eyes, ears, and intuition on the ground. As QC Jedi & Culture Decoder, you’ll play a key role in bridging cultural gaps, building smooth relationships with Vietnamese suppliers, and ensuring high product quality standards are consistently met.
This role combines business sense, people skills, and attention to detail. You’ll help us understand the unspoken nuances of working with local manufacturers while acting as a trusted quality control lead during production.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as a cultural translator between our team and Vietnamese suppliers help us understand each other beyond just language.
- Visit factories to inspect products, check progress, and ensure quality matches our specs and expectations.
- Identify and resolve potential issues early, whether in communication, deadlines, or product quality.
- Report back regularly with updates, photos, and practical insights from the ground.
- Build long-term trust with our manufacturing partners through respect, empathy, and accountability.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timing, quality, and budget stay on track.
Ideal candidate:
- Based in Hanoi or the surrounding area.
- Bilingual in Vietnamese and English/Spanish, great communicator in both languages.
- Experience in quality control or supplier management is a big plus.
- Deep understanding of Vietnamese business culture, you know what’s going on.
- Reliable, curious, solution-oriented, and detail-oriented.
- Someone who thrives in the middle: between cultures, between teams, between ideas.
