Requirements and responsibilities


🟢 Responsibilities: ◽ Serve as a Medical Assistant for designated providers. ◽ Train to proficiently handle various office areas, including the lab and front desk. ◽ Be available for late night or weekend shifts as needed. ◽ Assist in rooming patients and accurately recording vital signs. ◽ Conduct patient history intakes and system reviews. ◽ Prepare, clean, and maintain exam and treatment rooms; set up for procedures, clean up post-procedures, and autoclave instruments. ◽ Assist with all aspects of chart entry into the patient's Dr. Chrono system. ◽ Prepare charts and notes prior to visits and collect relevant lab reports. ◽ Consult with the provider regarding any incomplete orders or labs before patient visits. ◽ Assist with initiating chart notes and scribing notes as dictated by the provider post-visit. ◽ Administer injections and perform lab draws when needed, with appropriate training or assistance. ◽ Educate patients appropriately, especially regarding supplements. ◽ Conduct patient callbacks for follow-up, via phone or email in a timely manner. ◽ Relay lab and procedure test results via call or email. ◽ Assist medical providers with inbox management, prescription refills, and faxing, ensuring timely responses. ◽ Handle scheduling and insurance collection as needed. ◽ Perform additional duties as required by the provider or manager. ◽ Resolve patient complaints using problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. ◽ Attend departmental staff and clinical meetings as scheduled. ◽ Adhere to all duties and services in compliance with OnePeak Medical's Employee Handbook. ◽ Support the successful implementation of EHR/EPM. ◽ Be flexible to attend out-of-town training for the position. ◽ Undertake additional responsibilities as needed by OnePeak Medical.
