Requirements and responsibilities


The candidate should live in Guadalajara. However, if you live somewhere else in Mexico, Prodensa is willing to help you relocate. The team develops and maintains firmware for telematics hardware platforms. This role requires experience with embedded firmware development, ideally in an Agile Scrum environment. The candidate should possess excellent programming and debugging skills using hardware and software tools and test equipment to deliver high-quality, high-performance firmware. Responsibilities: - Advocate for best practices for firmware development, including source code control, continuous integration, coding standards, and unit testing. Define internal processes and standards. - Support the development and testing implementation. - Be part of design reviews. - Implement protocols for interacting with backend and mobile software. - Read schematics and component datasheets to understand requirements for hardware driver implementation. - Use hardware tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes when debugging new boards. Basic qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. - Experience writing C/C++ code for embedded devices. - Knowledge of best practices for software development, including Agile methodologies, tools for issue tracking, documentation, static code analysis, and unit testing. - Analytical skills. - Knowledge of operating systems is desired. - Experience with microcontrollers is desired. - Good verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience writing Python code is a plus. Prodensa is using Agile Recruitment for this process.
