Requirements and responsibilities
Vitabase is an ecommerce company that sells premium health supplements through health professionals. We are almost 25 years old and located in Atlanta, GA (with warehouses in Georgia and Utah).
We are looking for a WooCommerce developer. This is a full-time, remote position (40 hours/week).
About the job:
* We maintain several WooCommerce sites and are actively building advanced tools on that platform.
* This job involves new development, maintenance, and system administrative tasks (keeping the server running and tuned).
The ideal candidate:
* Will be an expert in WooCommerce development with a track record of success. (Note: All potential candidates who advance to our interview round will be required to take a test that demonstrates their WooCommerce expertise.)
* Will be an expert in writing code pre-AI, but will also use AI (Claude Code or similar) to speed up development.
* Will understand system administrator tasks related to hosting WooCommerce (we run Ubuntu/Plesk) and speed optimization strategies (object caching, etc).
* Will speak conversational English and be able to work at least some during our business hours (NYC time).
* Will be able to handle emergencies on the server when they occur. (Note: Emergencies are rare.)
