Villa Paraiso Vacation Rentals manages vacation homes in the Florida Keys. We are looking for a reliable, warm, detail-oriented teammate who wants a stable role for at least 12 months. This is not a generic virtual-assistant position or a scripted call-center job.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor reservations, arrivals, occupied stays, guest messages, and promised follow-ups.
- Send warm, accurate routine guest communications within written procedures.
- Coordinate maintenance vendors, cleaners, inspections, and status updates.
- Keep tasks and handoffs complete: owner, next action, deadline, evidence, and escalation trigger.
- Verify facts before using AI-assisted drafts or making a promise.
- Escalate emergencies, refunds, relocations, security/privacy risks, and policy exceptions rather than improvising.
- Work in systems such as Guesty, Trellis, Breezeway, Quo, Slack, and Google Workspace.
Schedule:
- Fixed schedule: Friday through Tuesday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM US Eastern Time, 35 hours per week.
- The role includes weekends and published holidays.
Requirements:
- Fluent spontaneous spoken and written English.
- Recent hands-on vacation-rental operations experience using Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, Guesty, Hostaway, Lodgify, Hospitable, or a comparable PMS.
- Calm de-escalation.
- Precise documentation.
- Honest time reporting.
- Dependable computer and private workspace.
- Primary broadband, independent mobile backup internet, and a workable power-outage plan.
Transparency:
- Hours are tracked in Hubstaff.
- Current policy does not use periodic screenshots; any future change would be disclosed before it applies.
- Interviews and onboarding/training are camera-on.
- Training and evaluation may include supervised screen sharing.
- Access starts limited/read-only and expands only after demonstrated performance.
Selection Process:
- Selection includes a short application, structured camera interview and live roleplays, two consent-based reference checks, live infrastructure verification, and a USD 25 paid synthetic finalist exercise.
- The exercise is paid for good-faith completion whether or not selected and never uses live guest work.
