We are currently looking for a Data Engineer for a 100% remote position on a large federal government project. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions that support healthcare operations, analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.The engineer will work within a collaborative environment to build and optimize data pipelines, integrate data from multiple sources, and support cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate is a hands-on data professional with experience developing ETL/ELT processes, managing large-scale datasets, and implementing secure, reliable data solutions that support mission-critical healthcare systems.The candidate must reside within the continental US.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.Build and optimize data solutions within Azure cloud environments, including Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory.Integrate data from multiple sources through APIs and other system integration methods.Develop and support data analytics and reporting solutions using Power BI.Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and performance across data platforms.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions supporting healthcare and VA initiatives.Manage and track development activities using Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira.Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.4+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting data engineering solutions in enterprise data and analytics environments.Experience developing data solutions using Python, Spark, SQL, ETL processes, and data warehousing technologies.Experience with GitHub, data integration, and data analytics solutions.Experience supporting data analytics initiatives within enterprise IT environments.Experience supporting Federal government programs and consulting engagements.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.Strong organizational, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Additional Qualifications:Experience supporting healthcare organizations, federal agencies, or Veterans Affairs (VA) programs.Familiarity with VA platforms and technologies, including CX Insights, Lighthouse APIs, Medallia, or similar veteran-facing systems.Experience integrating enterprise applications and data sources through APIs and other system integration methods.Knowledge of Azure cloud-native services and modern data platform architectures.Experience using Jira or similar Agile project management and collaboration tools.Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.Benefits:Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance.401(k) with Employer Match.Paid Time Off (PTO) and Federal Holidays.Corporate Laptop.Professional Development and Training Opportunities.100% Remote Opportunity.Note: Selected candidates will be required to complete fingerprinting at a government facility and undergo a background check as part of the hiring process.
