We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Data Platform QA/QE Lead for a long-term opportunity with a leading retailThis is a senior-level data quality engineering leadership role focused on ensuring accuracy, reliability, and trust across an Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) migrating from on-prem EDW to GCP / BigQuery.This is a data validation-first QA role, not traditional QA — focused on:Data reconciliation & parityETL/ELT pipeline validationMigration testing across cloud transformationEnterprise data quality governanceKey ResponsibilitiesDefine and own enterprise QA/QE strategy for EDP migrationBuild Data Quality framework & master test planDrive source-to-target reconciliation (EDW → BigQuery)Lead migration validation (parallel runs, cutover, historical parity)Define test strategy across unit, integration, regression, UAT & performanceEstablish data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, etc.)Implement automation in CI/CD pipelinesGovern QA tooling (dbt, Great Expectations, Soda, Datafold, observability tools)Define test environments & data management strategyLead UAT planning, execution & sign-offsDefine defect lifecycle, quality gates & release readiness criteriaBuild QA KPIs (defect leakage, reconciliation accuracy, automation coverage)Explore GenAI use cases for QA (test generation, anomaly detection, reporting)Manage & mentor distributed QA teamsRequired SkillsStrong experience in GCP / BigQueryExpertise in data warehouse / data lake QAStrong SQL for complex validation & reconciliationDeep knowledge of ETL/ELT testingExperience with CI/CD & DataOps practicesHands-on with data testing frameworks (dbt, Great Expectations, Soda, etc.)Experience leading enterprise QA strategy in large programsPreferred SkillsGenAI / AI experience in QA automationData observability tools (Monte Carlo, Bigeye, Acceldata)BI validation (Power BI / Tableau / Looker)Python or scripting experienceEDW → Cloud migration experienceData governance tools (Collibra / Alation / Atlan)Ideal CandidateStrong ownership mindset with end-to-end accountabilityHands-on yet strategic QA leaderExcellent communicator (technical + business)Passion for data quality, observability & AI-driven QAExperience mentoring and leading distributed teams
