Responsibilities and deliverables

We are partnering with an innovative client seeking detail-oriented Paralegals / Legal Assistants with strong expertise in PII compliance and M&A documentation. If you have a sharp eye for sensitive data and thrive in high-stakes, compliance-driven environments, this role is for you. Role: Paralegal / Legal Assistant (PII Compliance). Location: Remote. Rate: $40 – $70/hr. Type: Contract. Openings: 20. Responsibilities: - Review, redact, and generalize sensitive documents to ensure PII compliance. - Support M&A processes (CIMs, SPAs, and deal documentation). - Implement and maintain compliance protocols for complex datasets. - Identify and mitigate re-identification risks in confidential workflows. - Collaborate with legal, compliance, and finance teams. - Assist in drafting policies, procedures, and training materials. - Maintain detailed records for audit and compliance tracking. Requirements: - 2+ years of experience in PII compliance or related legal environments. - Strong ability to identify non-obvious PII and apply redaction techniques. - Solid understanding of M&A documentation (CIMs, SPAs). - Experience handling sensitive corporate and financial documents. - Excellent attention to detail and communication skills. - High level of integrity and discretion. Bonus Points: - Background in corporate law, finance, or regulated industries. - Knowledge of data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.). - Certifications in compliance, privacy, or legal research.
