Requirements and responsibilities

Job Overview We are seeking a Developmental Optometrist to join a specialized vision therapy practice focused on pediatric and neuro-visual care. This role involves diagnosing and managing visual conditions while delivering personalized vision therapy programs to improve patients’ quality of life. 🎯 Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive eye exams with emphasis on: Binocular vision Eye tracking Visual processing Diagnose and manage: Amblyopia (lazy eye) Strabismus (eye turn) Convergence insufficiency Other developmental vision disorders Develop and oversee vision therapy treatment plans Educate patients and families on treatment and eye health Collaborate with healthcare professionals and educators Maintain accurate documentation using EMR/EHR systems ✅ Qualifications Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree Licensed (or eligible) to practice in Ohio Experience or strong interest in: Vision therapy Developmental / behavioral optometry Pediatric care Strong communication and patient care skills 💡 Preferred (Not Required) Experience with vision therapy programs Background in neuro-optometric rehabilitation Exposure to pediatric optometry 🌟 Why Join Work in a specialized vision therapy practice Make a meaningful impact on children and patients Collaborative and supportive clinical environment
