Requirements and responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Engineer to join our growing data engineering team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop foundational skills in data engineering, cloud technologies, and enterprise data solutions while working alongside experienced engineers and architects. Key responsibilities * Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines using modern ETL/ELT tools. * Support development of data warehousing solutions and data marts. * Write and optimize basic SQL queries for data extraction and transformation. * Participate in database design and data modeling activities. * Assist in implementing data quality checks and validation processes. * Support cloud infrastructure setup and maintenance (AWS, Azure, GCP) * Help maintain documentation for data processes and systems. * Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices. * Assist in troubleshooting data pipeline issues and performance problems. * Support business intelligence initiatives by preparing data for reporting tools. Required qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. * 0-2 years of experience in software development, data engineering, or related field. * Proficiency in SQL and database concepts. * Basic programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala. * Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling. * Familiarity with version control systems (Git) * Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) fundamentals.
