🟠 About the role:
◽ The position is a crucial role as the IP management counterpart to both the Japan headquarters and the India branch. Our primary mission is to create an "Accessible, Stable, and Entertaining Rakuten Ecosystem" that serves as a robust hub for customers, clients, and colleagues. The diverse portfolio of this role encompasses various service orientations such as marketing, customer loyalty, incentives, and more.
◽ To have an immersive onboarding and accelerated familiarity with stakeholders to nurture future influence, this position will have its initial first year in Japan and after that, relocate to Singapore permanently. Both as local employment.
🟠 Requirements:
◽ At least ten years of management experience in a large, complex, and highly matrix organization.
◽ Business-level fluency in Japanese to engage with stakeholders and conduct business in Japan. The English language in a conversational level is preferred.
◽ Track record of managing digital/ internet products or businesses for at least thirteen years, encompassing various stages such as conceptualization, launch, growth, and maturity. The candidate should be able to define a product vision and strategy, effectively communicate it throughout the organization, and deliver a highly impactful and scalable solution.
◽ Possesses an advanced understanding of big data and the Marketing Technology (MarTech) domain, including its underlying technologies, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
◽ Capable of effectively communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization, including senior executives. Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to engage with senior management are essential.
◽ Strong quantitative and analytical skills, self-reliance, and a results-oriented mindset.
◽ Displays a strong passion for business growth, with a customer and data-driven approach, and a determined "Get Things Done" mindset.
◽ Is a plus: Familiarity with finance/accounting principles and experience with related financial systems.
🟠 Responsibilities:
◽ Ultimately being accountable for IPs under one’s areas of management, the spectrum of responsibility includes but is not limited to product strategy and lifecycle, roadmap prioritization, key metrics, cost management, selection of technologies, etc.
◽ Partner effectively across the company to execute the product plan and deliver the most significant impact. Stakeholders include executives, sales, engineers, designers, and more.
◽ Manage cross-functional and cross-regional teams including people management - such as selecting, recruiting, hiring, and developing members.
