The position is a salaried role and includes eligibility for overtime pay.Matrix is seeking entry drafting professionals to join our team in Maumee, Ohio. Ideal candidates for this position will have a solid foundation of experience with CAD-based software and a strong aptitude for learning. Good written and oral communication skills, desire to grow and expand in experience, and willingness to learn cross discipline design are required for this position.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESWorks in a safe manner at all times. Adheres to both Matrix and client-established safety standards when appropriate.Perform design and engineering functions in accordance with accepted practices and company standards.On small projects, interface with the client as necessary to obtain and communicate project information related to project design parameters, schedules, and budgets.Prepare and maintain project documentation to include proposal, project log record, Work Breakdown Structures Report (WBS), memos, letters, meeting minutes, scope changes, and associated documents.Gather field data and prepare project specifications.Coordinate design activities of other team members in preparation of the construction documents.Prepare construction scopes of work, bills of material, specifications, cost estimates, and other necessary construction documents for projects.
