Requirements and responsibilities

About the Role: We are supporting a confidential Australia-based startup in hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer (React/TypeScript). The recruitment process is exclusively managed by Movia Solutions. This is a fully remote role (Australia only). Candidates must reside in Australia and hold valid work permit (no sponsorship available). The role requires availability for quarterly in-person meetups in Sydney (if local or willing to travel). The Opportunity: We are looking for a seasoned frontend expert (10+ years experience) who thrives in fast-moving startup environments. You’ll build sleek, performant interfaces from the ground up, take ownership of the frontend architecture, and ship real features that impact global automotive users. Requirements: * 10+ years of frontend engineering experience. * Deep expertise in React and TypeScript. * Strong UX instincts and product thinking. * Excellent async communication skills. * Ability to thrive in remote-first startups. * Bonus: e-commerce, SaaS, or automotive background. * Bonus: startup experience with high ownership and autonomy. 🚫 Not a fit if: * Lacking valid Australian work rights. * Expecting sponsorship. * Seeking management/strategy roles over hands-on coding.
