Avantor is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Architect to be the recognized subject matter expert responsible for the design, implementation, support, and documentation of cyber and network security solutions. The role involves working with a team to ensure the security of data and infrastructure, applying leading practice design, and implementing security solutions to meet and respond to the ever-present threat to the organization’s data and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge and experience in architecting cybersecurity solutions, as well as experience with cloud security, security architecture, and compliance standards. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a strategic mindset to create an impact in securing Avantor’s networks and leading the implementation of new processes and operational plans. Responsibilities: - Design, build, and implement enterprise-class security systems for varying business environments based on leading practice, business needs, and security & regulatory requirements. - Lead the implementation of new processes and operational plans that will have a significant impact on the achievements of the team and Avantor’s security overall. - Align solutions based on standards, frameworks, and risk with overall business and technology strategy. - Identify, mitigate, and communicate current and emerging security threats. - Train, mentor, and collaborate with the business, Information Technology functions, and Information Security Teams. - Create processes and procedures to continuously improve the monitoring, management, and posture of the corporate infrastructure from a security perspective. - Perform and coordinate periodic security audits and assessments for existing corporate infrastructure, web applications, solutions, initiatives, and integrations and divestitures. - Research and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies based on existing and future initiatives.
