About the roleSegal McCambridge, a national litigation firm with nearly four decades of experience, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage Group. This role focuses on third-party insurance coverage and bad faith matters on behalf of insurer clients and offers an outstanding opportunity to build sophisticated coverage and litigation experience within a collaborative, well-supported team. Attorneys in this position will manage their own case files with meaningful autonomy while benefiting from mentorship and training from partners with deep expertise in insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. The work is substantive, client-facing, and designed for attorneys who want to continue sharpening their skills in a thriving practice group.What You’ll DoHandle third-party insurance coverage and bad faith matters from inception through resolutionDraft coverage opinions and reservation of rights lettersRepresent insurers in coverage litigation and related bad faith proceedingsAnalyze complex factual and legal issues and develop strategic recommendationsCollaborate with experienced attorneys while taking ownership of assigned mattersWhat We’re Looking ForActive Florida law license in good standingAt least 2 years of experience in third-party insurance coverage and bad faith mattersExperience drafting coverage opinions and reservation of rights lettersStrong litigation skills, including motion practice and discoveryExcellent legal research, writing, and advocacy abilitiesAbility to manage multiple matters and deadlines efficientlyStrong interpersonal and presentation skillsProven ability to deliver high-quality work productProactive mindset with the ability to work independently and within a teamFederal court experience preferredWhy Segal McCambridgeThis position allows you to immediately contribute to meaningful work for sophisticated clients while continuing to grow professionally.
