Requirements and responsibilities


Position: Dealer Warranty Auditor (Automotive). Location: Alberta, Canada (Edmonton or Calgary preferred) - 100% Remote. Type: Long term Contract. Travel: Extensive travel across Western Canada (90%+). Position Overview: Client is seeking an experienced Dealer Warranty Auditor to conduct dealership warranty claim audits, ensure compliance with warranty policies, identify risk areas, and support dealership operations through training and corrective action recommendations. Key Responsibilities: - Audit dealership warranty claims and repair order documentation. - Identify non-compliant warranty submissions and initiate chargebacks. - Analyze warranty claim trends, KPIs, and dealer performance data. - Prepare audit reports, notification letters, and compliance documentation. - Partner with dealership management and corporate teams to ensure policy adherence. - Conduct training and provide guidance on warranty procedures. - Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions. - Support additional dealer network and internal audit initiatives. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree. - 5–7+ years of automotive dealership experience. Strong understanding of: - Warranty administration. - Warranty claim processing and auditing. - Repair orders and dealership service operations. - Automotive diagnostic and repair procedures. - Ability to review technician documentation and validate warranty claims. - Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills. - Strong analytical and auditing capabilities. Preferred Backgrounds: - Dealer Warranty Auditor. - Warranty Administrator. - Service Advisor. - Automotive Technician. - Fixed Operations Management. - Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) – Nice to Have. Travel & Territory: - Approximately one dealership audit per week. - Travel throughout Western Canada. - Occasional travel to other Canadian provinces. - Travel expenses covered by client. - Company vehicle, corporate credit card, and Concur expense system provided. Ideal Candidate: A candidate with a Bachelor's degree and strong automotive dealership experience who understands warranty claims, repair orders, technician documentation, and dealership operations. Experience as a Warranty Administrator, Service Advisor, Dealer Auditor, or Automotive Technician is highly preferred. Must be comfortable with extensive travel and preferably reside in or be willing to relocate to Alberta.
