Requirements and responsibilities

About Us: - We are a growing New York–based accounting and advisory firm providing tax, bookkeeping, and financial guidance to small businesses and entrepreneurs. - We pride ourselves on responsiveness, accuracy, and proactive financial insights. The Role: - We are hiring a bilingual (English + Spanish) part-time accountant to support client bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax preparation. - This role can be tailored for a junior (execution-focused) or senior (client-facing, advisory) candidate. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate books in QuickBooks (categorization, reconciliations). - Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet). - Assist with tax preparation (1040, 1120S, 1065). - Communicate with clients in both English and Spanish. - Ensure timely completion of all deliverables. - (Senior only) Lead client calls and provide financial insights. What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months): - All assigned client books reconciled monthly within 10 business days. - <1% error rate in reports and workpapers. - Consistent on-time delivery of all client work. - Strong client satisfaction and responsiveness (<24h response time). Qualifications: - 2–5+ years (Junior) or 5–10+ years (Senior) accounting experience. - Strong QuickBooks and Excel skills. - Experience with U.S. accounting and tax basics. - Fluent in English + Spanish. - Highly organized and detail-oriented. Nice to Have: - CPA or CPA-track. - Experience with small business clients. - Tax planning exposure. Compensation: - Competitive hourly rate (based on experience). - Long-term growth opportunity.
