Requirements and responsibilities

We are currently looking for a SAP ABAP/RAP consultant to work with us on our projects. Please advise if you would like to explore and discuss the opportunity. SAP ABAP + RAP Developer: Location: Remote / Hybrid (as applicable). Client: US Based (Mostly Central time zone). Employment Type: Full-time / Contract. Experience: 4+ years SAP ABAP, 2+ years RAP. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) and follow clean core principles while building scalable, upgrade-safe extensions. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop applications using ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP). - Build cloud-ready ABAP extensions in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. - Develop and expose OData V2/V4 services. - Implement CDS Views, behavior definitions, and service bindings. - Follow Clean Core and side-by-side extension principles. - Work with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for integrations and extensions. - Develop and enhance Fiori Elements applications. - Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization. - Collaborate with functional consultants and solution architects. - Support integrations using SOAP / REST APIs. - Participate in code reviews and ensure SAP best practices are followed. Required Skills & Experience: Must-Have: - Strong hands-on experience with ABAP on S/4HANA. - Solid expertise in ABAP RAP (Managed / Unmanaged scenarios). - Experience/knowledge working on SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. - Strong knowledge of CDS Views, annotations, and associations. - Experience with OData services (V2/V4). - Familiarity with Fiori Elements and UI annotations. - Understanding of Clean Core and cloud extensibility concepts. - Experience with Eclipse ADT (ABAP Development Tools). Good to Have: - Experience with SAP BTP (ABAP Environment / Integration Suite). - Knowledge of Event-driven architecture and APIs. - Exposure to Side-by-Side extensions. - Understanding of Authorization concepts in S/4HANA Cloud. - SAP certifications in ABAP or S/4HANA Cloud.
