Avantor is seeking an Accounting Manager for Avantor Fluid Handling, B.V. The ideal candidate will have intermediate combined public accounting (Big 4) and industry experience, with a preference for biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry experience. The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, and familiarity with Exact ERP and SAP is a plus. Fluent English and highly desirable Dutch language skills are required. The role involves overseeing all accounting functions, working directly with senior operational leaders, and facilitating the timely completion of monthly consolidated accounts. The Accounting Manager will also be responsible for maintaining the Company's General Ledger, supervising tax returns, ensuring SOX-compliant business processes, and collaborating with Manufacturing FP&A for proper valuation of inventory and evaluation of manufacturing labor and overhead rates. Responsibilities: - Facilitate the timely completion of monthly consolidated accounts. - Perform high quality balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis. - Maintain the Company's General Ledger in accordance with local GAAP and US GAAP. - Supervise the completion of periodic VAT and other tax returns. - Ensure the business maintains SOX-compliant business processes. Independently identifies areas for improvement and implements changes. - Oversee the accounts receivable activities performed in Tillburg and accounts payable activities performed in Coimbatore, India. Serve as an escalation point for suppliers and customers. - Collaborate closely with Manufacturing FP&A for proper valuation of inventory and evaluation of manufacturing labor and overhead rates. - Drive the timely settlement of numerous intercompany positions. - Serve as primary contact for the statutory audit. - Support the various miscellaneous needs for other local statutory filings, including board minutes and secretarial functions. - Handle other ad hoc requests and projects.
