As part of the SRE team I was assigned to implement a CI/CD solution and migrate .NET core and .NET Framework microservices running in AWS EC2 (Windows Server) to AWS EKS. For CI/CD we decided to use Jenkins with Ansible for AWS EC2 (Old Infrastructure), and GitHub Actions for AWS EKS (New infrastructure). I have deployed an AWS EKS cluster per environment, we used one AWS account per environment, and a Grafana stack (Prometheus and Loki) as well. I have started as DevOps Engineer and a few months later I was promoted as leader of a 3 DevOps’s team. Our main task was to move from on-premise infrastructure to AWS. As a media company. To improve the service we used a CDN solution to cache all the assets, audio and video injected right through our encoders and we used other cache solutions as well. We migrated our core solution in PHP and MySQL running in classic VMs in a local provider using VMware to AWS ECS and AWS EC2. We used Jenkins with Ansible as a CI/CD solution and Zabbix with NewRelic as monitoring and observability tools On the other hand we migrated our .NET Core microservices running on-premise to a Kubernetes cluster running in a VMware cluster and the SQL server as well.

The project was to move our PHP and Java services from an on-premise infrastructure to AWS. To do this I built the new network at the office with some VLANS and created some IPSec VPNs. I have connected our infrastructure in AWS to our offices and our former IT Infrastructure provider through IPsec VPNs. I deployed Jenkins as a CI/CD solution and Zabbix as a monitoring solution.
