Jonathan Doane

Jon Doane is a distinguished AI specialist and the Curriculum & Instruction Manager at AI4ALL. He oversees the AI4ALL Ignite accelerator, mentoring undergraduate students in creating portfolio-worthy AI projects and preparing them for successful AI careers. Jon is passionate about diversity and inclusivity, advocating for ethical AI practices and supporting historically excluded groups in the field. With a Ph.D. in mathematics, Jon is proficient in Python and Machine Learning and holds certifications in Natural Language Processing (NLP). As a founding member of the data governance team, he standardizes data processes and creates data visualizations to report findings. At AI4ALL, he has automated numerous processes and uses advanced prompt engineering techniques to produce detailed human-centered documents. Jon stays up-to-date with AI trends and management principles. Jon manages and trains a team of remote instructors across the U.S., ensuring the highest standards in teaching practices. As an alum of the Leadership Accelerator, he is dedicated to effective leadership and organizational development. Additionally, his professional certification in DEI Awareness highlights his commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment. Outside of his professional life, Jon is an Adirondack Forty-Sixer, demonstrating his passion for outdoor challenges. He draws inspiration from both mountainous feats and technological endeavors. Jon also values family time, focusing on instilling positive values and a love for education in his children, contributing to the growth and potential of the next generation.
