  • Universidade Federal de Santa Maria
    Scholarship Holder
    Universidade Federal de Santa Maria
    May 2018 - Dec 2018 (8 months)
As a Scholarship Holder, I engaged in a scientific initiation scholarship that investigated the concern of the loss of local identities overshadowed by globalization, and how these identities have resisted, becoming promoters of local and regional development. From this research, I published the article "Culture, Identity, and Territory: Vila Belga project," which was presented in the proceedings of the 13th Congress on Research and Development in Design (P&D). The article also included an academic exercise focusing on the identity aspects of Vila Belga, a historical heritage of the city of Santa Maria. Although the results are partial, they demonstrated that design can play an important role in the recognition and promotion of territories.
