David Vera Castillo

Hi, I am David Vera. I am a Software Developer and entrepreneur—co-Founder of Constructora Vera Castillo, Dasik Band, and eager to work remotely coding software solutions. My technical knowledge includes, but it's not limited to: Front-end: JavaScript, React.js, Redux, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3 Back-End: MySQL, Java, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, MongoDB Tools & Methods: Git, GitHub, Responsive Development, TDD, Browser Dev Tools Professional: Remote Pair-Programming, Teamwork, Mentoring, Project Management, Budgeting OS: Linux Centos, Linus Ubuntu, MacOS, Windows Network: WLAN, WAN, 3G, 4G, Cisco Having worked as a Network Administrator outsourced by Telefonica for the client SABMiller (LATAM region) and by working on Software projects using GitHub with other talented developers, I know how to collaborate remotely and work effectively as a self-driven individual and team member. I founded a construction company with my family, too, and my most remarkable achievement is that I built my own house with my family. I was the one who directed my family as the Project Manager, and it has paid off since now I can pursue my dream of working remotely as a Software Developer. With my technical background, based on my studies in Electronics Engineering at ESPE and my current studies as a Full-Stack Developer at Microverse; and my entrepreneurial spirit, which has allowed me to create my Construction company; I can tackle Software related problems with creativity and diligence while providing long-term solutions. I got my Full Stack Development Certificate at Microverse, and thanks to them, I am improving my coding skills, learning modern coding techniques, and working in teams with people from all over the world. My capstone project consisted in creating an application that allows users to book a Car. Its front end was developed using React & Redux. Its backend was developed using Ruby on Rails in API mode. It features JWT authentication, API consumption, role-based authorization, and more. I would love to work for education, music, or gaming companies. My goal is to develop solutions that improve people's lives using technology.
