Wenjing Li

A native Mandarin speaker with fluent English, holding a Bachelor's degree in English (Translation and Interpreting) from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, and a Master's degree in TESOL from the University of Leeds (joint programme with Guangdong University of Foreign Studies). I have worked as an English teacher for five years, at Shenzhen Bogang Primary School and Guangzhou Xiguan Guangya Junior High School. At work, I have developed strong communication and problem-solving skills. I also served as a Mandarin-English telephone interpreter at Guangdong Posts & Telecommunications Talent Service Co., Ltd., providing over-the-phone interpretation for foreign nationals in areas such as healthcare, visas, and other public services. Driven by a strong interest in interpreting and a long-term commitment to this profession, I have proactively prepared myself for this role. I completed professional interpreting training including Foundations of Medical Interpretation (40 hours), and Foundations of Community Interpretation (40 hours), and passed the CILISAT test. I am currently preparing for the CMI (Certified Medical Interpreter) certification while also taking Foundations of Legal Interpretation (20 hours). Seeking a remote, over-the-phone interpreter position.
