About
Detail
Montería, Córdoba, Colombia
I am a purpose-driven English language educator with international experience in applied linguistics, academic research, tutoring, teacher training, and classroom teaching across diverse age groups. As a Chevening Scholar and postgraduate student at the University of York, I’ve developed a strong foundation in English language education, critical inquiry, and inclusive pedagogies, complemented by hands-on teaching experience in both the UK and Colombia.
My work in English education is deeply rooted in a commitment to equity and empowerment. I have taught learners from children to adults, trained pre-service and in-service teachers, designed student-centred, culturally responsive learning environments, and supported language development in both academic and community settings. I bring a global lens to local classrooms, blending linguistic expertise with emotional intelligence, stakeholder collaboration, and a passion for meaningful, transformative learning.
I also incorporate artificial intelligence into my teaching practice to enhance language learning and accessibility, support differentiated instruction, and foster student autonomy, equipping learners and educators with 21st-century skills.
In addition, I draw from a strong background in leadership, having founded and led education-focused initiatives like EmpowerThem and represented postgraduate students in the UK higher education sector. These experiences have sharpened my ability to manage projects, engage diverse stakeholders, and advocate for inclusive educational practices aligned with the SDGs.
Currently seeking opportunities in Colombia or remote where I can contribute meaningfully to English language education, teacher development, research, or mission-driven social impact work.
