WellD Italia is the Italian branch of WellD Switzerland, a fast-growing company dedicated to custom software development. WellD Italia is looking for a Senior Backend developer to join its dev team in Milano. We are located in the heart of Milan, Quartiere Isola / Garibaldi, and we are working mostly remotely with in-office planning sessions, pair programming and team building. For this position, we require knowledge of Java and the JVM ecosystem; experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and Angular/Frontend is also valued. We promote Agile Development with Code Reviews, Pair Programming, and Continuous Delivery, and we have a formal process and a pipeline to assure software quality. We believe in Open Source and encourage sharing knowledge on our Tech Blog. Our clients are in Energy, Industrial, Finance, and Health sectors and English is required to interact with international teams. What you'll do: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate client requirements into technical specifications; Develop scalable backend solutions using Java and ensure integration with frontend technologies; Implement and manage DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment with Docker; Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing; Share your expertise through our Tech Blog and community events. What we're looking for: Solid understanding of the Java ecosystem and backend development experience; Proficiency in DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing; Familiarity with frontend technologies such as Angular; Proactive problem-solving and collaborative mindset; Continuous desire to learn; Fluency in Italian and English.
