Role purpose & contribution: Manage logistics and inventory supply to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations across South American dealers. Identify developments/improvements and review internal systems for logistics/supply chain in line with Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. Principal outcomes / accountabilities: Health Safety and Environment: Accountable for contributing to a proactive HS\&E culture and sustainable environment. Key tasks include: * Role model a “safer, healthier & happier” approach to productive work and hold others to account for behaviours. * Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and HCM Group policies and procedures. * Conduct regular observations of work practices and identify and remedy hazards. * Report promptly on all accidents and incidents. Risk and Compliance: Accountable for contributing to a proactive compliance culture. Key tasks include: * Role model for meeting the requirement of legal and compliance. * Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and HCM Group policies and procedures. * Educate and train the team members to ensure they avoid violations of any regulations in the industry and society. * Manage and mitigate business risk to ensure compliance. Functional Responsibilities: * Manage and control warehousing services provided by third-party logistics companies. * Liaise with HCM (Japan) on behalf of Hitachi Construction Machinery Latin America SpA. * Manage, evaluate and review HCLA’s parts business functions including: ・Procurement amount and process ・Sales amount and process ・Inventory holdings ・Inventory aging ・Availabilities by product franchise * Determine, implement and monitor HCLA parts products to ensure required stock levels are maintained at minimum cost to the parts department. * Monitor domestic and international markets to increase the profitability of HCLA. * Provide parts information support to dealers. * Prepare and recommend a strategic stocking and pricing policy, in conjunction with the parts marketing manager and parts inventory & logistics manager, geared to maximise the profitability of relevant products. * Foster and promote a good working relationship with HCLA stakeholders. * Represent HCLA in a professional manner and in line with company objectives. * Ensure compliance with HCLA policy & procedure, QA & OH\&S. Work Planning and Scheduling: * Understand the requirements of the customer, dealer and other business stakeholders. * Achieve budgets and goals set, and attain “Customer Satisfaction”. * Perform related duties as assigned by your supervisor. * Maintain a good working relationship with customers, peers and other departments. * Identify continuous improvements within your area of responsibility. * Perform work in a safe manner. * Be conversant with and take an active part in all quality procedures. Key relationships: * Marketing Manager: Communicate and establish sales strategy (promotion/campaign and pricing). * Inventory & Logistics Manager: Monitor, indicate and check the inventory status, purchasing status and warehousing performance. * Parts Customer Service Manager: Monitor, indicate and check the sales status and future demand from the customers. Qualifications, experience, skills & knowledge: Education: * (Minimum) Bachelor’s degree. * 5+ years practical working experience in an OEM parts/logistics environment in aligned industry. Additional Important Requirements: * High level of enthusiasm and motivation. * Fluent English (written and spoken). * Knowledge of logistics (international forwarding and warehousing). * Knowledge of purchase/sales operation process of mining/construction service parts. * Knowledge of inventory control for mining/construction service parts. Additional Preferable Requirements: * Knowledge/Experience of ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365). * Knowledge/Experience of inventory control system (PTC Servigistics).
