We bridge the gap between global talent and US-based businesses, connecting candidates from vibrant regions like Latin America, the Philippines, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Africa with leading American companies. Sagan provides a high-performance remote work environment, ensuring access to world-class opportunities for top-tier professionals. About the Company: Sagan represents a fast-growing US-based services company that is redesigning its financial operations to scale. The team is small but high-performing, with a CEO who values structured thinking, insight, and ownership. Position Overview: We are seeking a Director of Finance Operations to lead our financial processes, reporting infrastructure, and accounting team. This is a strategic role -- not just about numbers, but about building processes, leading people, and driving clarity. You'll serve as the right hand to the CEO, delivering insight and operational discipline to help scale the company. Key Responsibilities: 1. Finance Process Leadership Build and maintain the month-end close calendar. Design and implement structured workflows for AP, billing, accruals, and reconciliations. Ensure deadlines and quality standards across all finance processes. 2. Reporting & Analysis Create and maintain Excel-based financial reports and dashboards. Deliver monthly reporting packages (revenue, margins, opex, cash flow) with clear, actionable commentary. Monitor cash positions, deferred revenue, and prepaid balances. Analyze client-level profitability and consulting margins. 3. Team Management Lead and coach a 3-person accounting team. Set clear roles, delegate effectively, and ensure accountability. Identify skill or performance gaps and implement solutions. 4. CEO + Investor Support Partner with the CEO to provide structured insights, not just outputs. Prepare board and investor materials. Identify risks, inefficiencies, or trends and recommend fixes proactively. Qualifications: 5-10+ years of experience in finance: investment banking, Big 4 deal advisory, FP&A, or operational finance. Advanced Excel proficiency: pivot tables, dynamic models, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, nested logic. ERP literacy. Sage Intacct preferred, but experience with similar systems (e.g., NetSuite, Dynamics) is sufficient. Strong written and verbal communication in English (50+ fluency score recommended). Proven ability to lead teams and manage end-to-end processes. Nice-to-Haves: Experience supporting a CEO or preparing materials for investors/boards. Prior experience building finance functions from the ground up. Familiarity with consulting or services-based business models.
