Founded in 2014, Roadie works with consumers, small businesses and enterprises to enable scheduled, same-day and urgent delivery in passenger vehicles across the U.S. With more than 200,000 drivers nationwide, Roadie reaches more than 20,000 zip codes – the largest local same-day delivery network in the nation.
As a UX Designer at Roadie, you’ll lead the user experience for the Roadie Driver app, the easiest and most flexible way to make extra cash in the Gig economy. Working closely with Product and Engineering partners, you’ll apply your extensive skills and experience to create massively impactful features and experiences. You’ll talk to the people that use your solutions every week. From designing new features and workflows to implementing usability enhancements, your work helps put Drivers in control over when and where they drive.
Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with the Product Manager, Dev Leads, and other stakeholders to fully understand the customer journey, potential gaps, and opportunities
- Use business requirements, metrics, usability findings, and market research to develop scenarios, use cases, and solutions
- Create wireframes, IA diagrams, interaction specifications, and high-fidelity designs using Sketch, along with our established Design System
- Regularly present design work to the user experience team and other stakeholders
- Apply a positive and constructive attitude when giving and receiving all feedback
- Deliver high-quality design assets to the engineering team, along with clear guidance to ensure all aspects of the designs are fully understood
- Provide ongoing support to engineering to ensure quality and that the system is being built as designed
- Keep up to date with the latest UX practices, innovations, and tools
- Develop and nurture relationships across teams to promote collaboration and efficiency
