TAX SUPERVISOR JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Tax Supervisor reports to the Tax Manager/Senior Manager and is responsible for organizing and managing client engagements and projects. The person in this role is expected to develop professionally within Gelt and be ready to take on the role of Tax Manager within 1 year.RESPONSIBILITIES:Identify, communicate and resolve engagement issues in a timely and organized mannerSupervise, train and mentor junior tax colleaguesPrepare complex Individual, Partnership, and Corporate tax returnsReview individual and business tax returnsAssist with tax planningParticipate in administrative projects such as the annual revision of checklists and engagement lettersManage client relationships professionally and courteouslyREQUIREMENTS:-Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting/Tax-Active CPA or EAStrong analytical, technical and communication skillsAbility to balance multiple priorities and complete assignments by deadlinesPivot quickly and adapt to changing client and business dynamics4+ years of current or recent public accounting tax experience-Must have client facing experience-Experience as an Acting Tax Manager is a significant advantageExperience with High-Net-Worth Individual, Partnership, and Corporate tax returnsComfortable with tax software such as CCH Axcess
