About Proximity FoundationProximity Foundation runs structured coding education programs for young people aged 14-18 at Community Care Institutions (CCIs). Using a computer-based LMS curriculum covering HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL, we pair students with volunteer mentors in cohort-based sessions designed to build real technical skills and lasting confidence.We are scaling from the first cohort to many cohorts within Mumbai and building the operational team that will carry this program forward. Every role with Proximity Foundation is a direct investment in the young people we serve.Role Type - VolunteerTime Commitment : 1 hr on weekday - (one day a week only) and one hour on weekend (either Saturday or Sunday)Department : Program DeliveryReports to : Program Coordinator LeadROLE FOCUSDeliver mentor-led online coding sessions to students aged 14-18 at the CCI using the computer-based LMS curriculum. This is a direct mentorship role — you'll be in the online room with students, guiding them through HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDeliver mentor-led online coding sessions to students aged 14-18 at the CCIUse the computer-based LMS curriculum to guide each sessionSupport student engagement, understanding, and confidenceFlag student concerns or attendance issues to Program CoordinatorParticipate in mentor check-ins and briefingsCoordinate with Program Coordinator Lead on schedulingCollaborate with backup pool for session continuityProvide session notes and attendance reports after each sessionWHAT A TYPICAL WEEK LOOKS LIKEA typical week involves one or two online sessions with the CCI students, a quick async check-in with the Program Coordinator, and a short session notes submission afterwards.
