With a strong reputation for quality manufacturing, creativity, and customer service, the company delivers end-to-end solutions including design, production, and project management services across a range of industries.Job OverviewThe Industrial Designer will be responsible for developing innovative and practical point-of-sale and retail product solutions that align with client requirements and manufacturing capabilities. Working closely with the sales and production teams, this role involves creating detailed product concepts, technical drawings, renderings, and prototypes while ensuring designs are commercially viable and production-ready. The ideal candidate is creative, technically skilled, detail-oriented, and experienced in retail or product design environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Product DevelopmentConsult with internal teams and clients to understand design requirements and project objectives.Create detailed sketches, blueprints, renderings, and sample concepts.Develop innovative and practical retail and point-of-sale solutions.Evaluate product safety, appearance, functionality, and manufacturability.Technical Design & Production SupportProduce accurate CAD drawings and technical documentation.Test and refine product designs using prototypes and specialist software.Investigate suitable materials and production methods to ensure cost-effective manufacturing.Collaborate with production teams to resolve manufacturing or material concerns.Client & Team CollaborationWork closely with sales, production, and marketing teams throughout project delivery.Assist in presenting concepts, prototypes, and final designs to clients.Provide technical feedback to support budgeting and production planning.Industry Knowledge & InnovationMaintain knowledge of current design trends, materials, and manufacturing technologies.Contribute ideas and improvements to support innovation and product quality.Key RequirementsQualifications in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.Strong experience in product design, ideally within retail or point-of-sale industries.Experience with plastics manufacturing and fabrication processes (wood fabrication is advantageous).Proficiency in CAD and design software including SolidWorks, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.Experience with rendering software such as KeyShot, Photoview 360, or 3D Studio Max.Understanding of production methods including CNC routers, laser cutters, and sheet fabrication.Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
