You're here to help build a media powerhouse.RoleThe Motion Designer is the animation and motion execution engine behind ACQ Media’s video and social content output across all brands and platforms.This role executes on:Designing and animating motion graphics, kinetic typography, and branded transitions for long-form and short-form video contentBuilding and maintaining the motion design system, animation templates, and visual standards across all ACQ Media brandsOn-screen graphics, lower thirds, animated title treatments, episodic opens/closes, bumpers, etc.Delivery within a design-to-production handoff pipeline that integrates cleanly into editor timelinesYou are not just making things move.You are building and protecting a scalable motion identity for a multi-brand media company — one that must remain consistent across dozens of pieces of content per week, across multiple platforms, and across multiple personalities.This role requires both executional speed and animation discipline. High volume is the baseline. High quality is non-negotiable.This role is remote and reports directly to Vegas-based Director of Art & Design, preferably on PST/MST.Responsibilities1. Motion Design System & Brand StandardsMaintain and evolve the motion design language for each brand (Alex, Leila, Sharran, ACQ) — including timing, easing, color, and typographic animation standardsBuild and manage template libraries for animated lower thirds, title cards, social graphics, bumpers, and episodic title treatments in After EffectsEnsure motion consistency across all output — every animated asset should be immediately identifiable as part of its brandDocument motion standards in brand guides and animation style referencesCollaborate with the broader media team to ensure motion assets are cohesive with captured footage and overall visual identity guidelines2. Video Motion Graphics & Post-Production SupportCreate motion graphics, animated text treatments, kinetic typography, and branded transitions for long-form YouTube content and social clipsDesign and animate episodic opens, closes, chapter cards, and segment transitions that elevate production value across all seriesBuild motion assets that integrate cleanly into editor timelines in Premiere Pro with minimal revision cyclesContribute to a shared motion asset library that accelerates post-production output across the team3. Social Motion AssetsDesign and animate platform-native motion assets (animated covers, story templates, promo graphics, looping visuals) for Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and YouTubeProduce short-form motion pieces optimized for Reels, Shorts, and TikTok formatsMaintain awareness of platform-specific motion specs, aspect ratios, and safe zones to ensure pixel-perfect delivery4. Workflow Systems & Asset ManagementMaintain an organized, tagged, and searchable motion asset libraryApply file naming conventions and version control across all motion outputDeliver assets in correct formats, frame rates, resolutions, and codec specs for each platform and use case — zero ambiguity for the teams receiving themLeverage AI tools and motion automation (expressions, scripts, plugins) to increase output speed without sacrificing quality5. Quality Control & IterationProactively catch and correct motion inconsistencies, quality drifts, or brand misalignments before they reach post-productionUse performance data to drive motion design decisions, not just aesthetic preferenceContinuously raise the animation bar — good enough is not the standardRequirements4+ years of motion design experience in a media, agency, or content production environmentA portfolio demonstrating strong motion craft, typographic animation, and high-volume outputExpert-level proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro; strong working knowledge of Photoshop and IllustratorDeep understanding of animation principles: timing, easing, anticipation, visual hierarchy in motionExperience designing and animating lower thirds, title treatments, bumpers, and episodic graphics for video contentFamiliarity with platform-specific motion requirements across YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and XProficiency with After Effects expressions and/or scripting (GSAP, ExtendScript)Systems-oriented mindset — you build animation templates and repeatable processes, not one-offsComfortable working within structured production environments (Monday.com, shared asset libraries, Frame.io, batch production calendars)Familiarity with AI motion and design tools (Hera, RunwayML, Adobe Firefly, or equivalent) and a drive to integrate them into daily workflowsAbility to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver on tight deadlines without quality degradationResultsAll brands have a clearly documented, consistently applied motion identityMotion assets are delivered on time, at spec, and require minimal revision from post-production and social teamsScalable animation template library reducing motion turnaround time across all internal brandsMotion graphics and social visuals are indistinguishable in quality from prestige, top-tier media brandsZero motion design-related production delaysAI and automation tools are embedded into the motion workflow, compounding output capacity without adding headcountThe motion design identity of ACQ Media becomes a recognizable, ownable visual asset in the business media spaceLocationLas Vegas, NV (Remote)Support for relocation to Las Vegas can be providedSome light travel may be requiredCompensation$80,000-90,000 base salaryThe salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including, level, relevant prior experience, skills, and expertise.
