Position SummaryAcuren Inspection is currently looking for a Welder to support our operations. This position will perform welding for casting upgrades, grind/rework/prep areas that require welding, and general mechanical duties. Works with numerous ASTM, MIL-standards, AWS & ASME-approved procedures as well as – Welding: MIG, TIG, Plasma & Orbital, Brazing: Torch Brazing & Silver Solder, Stress Relieve: Recirculating hot-air oven, aging and embrittlement relief. ResponsibilitiesRead blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirementsSet up components for welding according to specifications. Operate straight and angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be weldedAlign components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp piecesRepair castings and other components by welding pieces and filling gapsTest and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flawsMaintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safetyExperience running or reviewing MVR’s (Motor Vehicle Reports) and experience submitting or reviewing background checks. Ability to organize and prioritize work while meeting deadlines.Excellent grasp of industry terminology.Strong accuracy and attention to detail.Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
