A growing technology solutions firm is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain modern software applications and services. This role supports the development of scalable, cloud-native applications, microservices, and AI-enabled systems across both internal and customer-facing platforms.You will work in a cross-functional environment alongside engineering, cybersecurity, and DevOps teams to build and deploy high-quality software solutions. This is a hands-on role suited for an engineer who is comfortable working across the full development lifecycle and interested in integrating AI-driven capabilities into modern applications.Position Responsibilities:Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend applications, APIs, and microservicesBuild and integrate AI-enabled capabilities, including machine learning models, LLM integrations, and data-driven servicesParticipate in architecture and design discussions to ensure scalability, security, and performanceDevelop cloud-native and containerized applications using Docker and KubernetesIntegrate data pipelines, AI services, and backend systems into production environmentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, cybersecurity, QA, and product stakeholdersDevelop and maintain technical documentation including system architecture and API specificationsMaintain code repositories using modern version control and CI/CD pipelinesApply secure coding practices and support DevSecOps workflowsMonitor and troubleshoot applications using logging and observability toolsMinimum Security Clearance:Must be eligible to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearanceRequired Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field from an accredited U.S. institutionExperience with Java (Spring Boot), Python, and modern backend developmentExperience designing and developing microservices and RESTful APIsExperience working in containerized environments using Docker and KubernetesExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google CloudExperience with AI or machine learning technologies and integrating AI capabilities into applicationsExperience with relational databases such as MySQL or MariaDBUnderstanding of distributed systems concepts and modern software architectureStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentAdditional Desired Qualifications:Experience working with LLM frameworks or AI SDKsExperience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practicesFamiliarity with observability and monitoring toolsExperience with event-driven architectures or message queuesMinimum Years of Experience:2 or more years of relevant experience
