Responsibilities
Role Overview:
- Remote, full-time position as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator for Colour Your Streets.
- Transform photographs and real-world locations into detailed, clean, and recognizable black-and-white artwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed black-and-white line-art illustrations based on photographs and real-world locations.
- Illustrate buildings, streets, landmarks, architecture, and city scenes in a clean and recognizable style.
- Create and edit artwork for colouring books, covers, products, and marketing materials.
- Ensure illustrations accurately capture important architectural and environmental details.
- Prepare artwork according to print and production specifications.
- Revise and refine artwork based on feedback while maintaining consistency with the brand's visual style.
- Support graphic design needs for social media, websites, promotional materials, and other marketing assets.
- Organize and maintain design files and ensure final artwork is production-ready.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, Illustrator, or similar creative role.
- Strong illustration and black-and-white line-art skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong understanding of composition, perspective, proportions, and visual balance.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Procreate, or similar design and illustration tools.
- Experience creating artwork from photographs, reference images, or real-world subjects.
- Ability to accurately translate visual references into clean and detailed illustrations.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Strong ability to receive feedback and make revisions while maintaining consistency in style and quality.

- Experience with colouring books.

Portfolio Requirements:
- A portfolio is required to be considered for this position.
- Applicants should provide a portfolio showcasing relevant work, particularly black-and-white line art, detailed illustrations, buildings and architecture, streets and city scenes, landmark illustrations, and artwork created from photographs or reference images.
- Candidates may also be asked to complete a short sample illustration task during the hiring process to demonstrate their ability to transform a photograph or real-world location into clean, detailed line art.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Highly detail-oriented, creative, and confident in creating recognizable illustrations from real-world references.
- Strong understanding of perspective and architectural details.
- Ability to produce polished artwork that works well as a colouring-book illustration.
