With a strong reputation for workmanship and reliability, the business continues to grow and is seeking an experienced estimator to take ownership of the quoting process and improve turnaround times for new enquiries.OVERVIEW:The client is seeking a detail-oriented Residential Concrete Estimator to manage the end-to-end quoting process for residential concreting projects. This role is focused on preparing accurate estimates, managing quote workflows, and leveraging Build Paperless to efficiently convert plans into professional customer quotations.The successful candidate will become the primary owner of the estimating function, allowing the business owner to focus on project delivery, client relationships, and business growth rather than spending hours each week preparing quotes.This is a specialised estimating role and is distinct from the Operations & Job Coordination position, which focuses on active project administration, supplier coordination, and workflow management after projects have been secured.RESPONSIBILITIES:Estimating & Quoting (Primary Focus)Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for residential concrete projectsReview plans, specifications, and project requirements for new enquiriesCreate and manage jobs within Build PaperlessDevelop detailed cost estimates based on project scope and requirementsEnsure estimates align with company pricing structures and marginsMaintain consistency and accuracy across all quotationsBuild Paperless Estimating WorkflowManage the quoting process within Build PaperlessUpload plans and project documentation into the AI takeoff workflowConfigure estimate inputs and project parametersReview and validate AI-generated takeoffs and quantitiesIdentify discrepancies and make adjustments where requiredEnsure estimates are complete and ready for client submissionQuote Pipeline ManagementManage quote requests from initial enquiry through to completed estimateMonitor quoting turnaround times and prioritise urgent opportunitiesMaintain accurate records of all estimates and revisionsFollow internal processes to ensure a smooth and efficient quoting workflowAssist with quote revisions and updates as requiredContinuous ImprovementHelp improve estimating workflows and system efficiencyContribute ideas to streamline quoting processes using Build Paperless and AI toolsSupport ongoing refinement of estimating templates and pricing structuresAssist in maintaining estimating data and project recordTools & SystemsBuild Paperless (highly preferred)AI-powered estimating and takeoff toolsConstruction plans and documentationMicrosoft Excel / Google WorkspaceRequirementsPrevious experience in estimating within the construction, concreting, landscaping, or residential building industryWorking experience using Build Paperless is highly preferred Ability to interpret plans and project documentationStrong numerical and analytical skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyComfortable working within software-driven estimating systemsAbility to work independently and manage multiple quotes simultaneouslyDESIRABLE: Experience using Build Paperless, Buildxact, Groundplan, CostX, Cubit, or similar estimating softwareResidential concreting or civil construction experienceFamiliarity with AI-assisted takeoff and estimating toolsUnderstanding of residential construction workflows and project costingBenefitsAustralian Work Hours
