Job title: SaaS Implementation & Onboarding Associate
Type: Internship, part-time, 10-20 hours per week, 3-6 months
Location: Remote, worldwide
Compensation: Unpaid for the first 3-6 months while the product goes to market, with a defined path to a paid contract once the company is generating revenue and a full-time role as revenue supports it. Reviewed at 3 months. Academic credit supported where a school allows it.
About the company: Melora Connect is association management software (AMS) built for small associations and chambers of commerce - organizations under 500 members who have been priced out of or buried by the enterprise platforms. The product is built. We are a small team putting it in front of its first customers, which means everyone here works on things that matter immediately rather than on practice projects.
Why this role exists: In this category the sale is not won on the demo. It is won on whether a chamber's executive director can get members, dues, committees, chapters and events running without it turning into a project that fails in public in front of a board. Time to first value is the whole game in association software, and this role owns it.
What you will do:
- Configure new customer accounts end to end: membership types and tiers, dues and renewal schedules, committees and chapters, events and registration, the member directory, and the member-facing portal.
- Run onboarding calls and training sessions with executive directors, membership coordinators and office managers - people who are excellent at their jobs and not at software.
- Own a repeatable launch plan: kickoff, configuration checklist, go-live readiness review, and a 30-day adoption check-in that you sharpen after every customer.
- Write the onboarding material associations actually use: setup guides, first-week checklists, short how-to walkthroughs, and clear answers to the questions that come up every single time.
- Track adoption after launch. Who logged in, what never got used, and what that tells us about the product. Feed it back to product and engineering.
- Support the Melora Connect Academy, our eight-week onboarding course, and help build role-based training paths for staff, board members and volunteers.
- Work alongside our implementation and migration track: they get the data in, you get the team using it.
Who we are looking for: You need to be organized and exact, and you need to be good with people who are not technical. You can run a call with a director who is nervous about switching systems and leave them confident. You write clearly, because a large part of this job is documentation. You are comfortable in spreadsheets and quick to find your way around a new admin panel. Backgrounds that fit: customer success, onboarding, implementation, association or chamber staff, nonprofit operations, membership coordination, training or teaching. Hands-on experience with an AMS, CRM or events platform - WildApricot, MemberClicks, StarChapter, Glue Up, GrowthZone, HubSpot, Salesforce - is a real advantage. Students, recent graduates and career changers are encouraged. Applicants worldwide welcome.
What you get: ownership of a live implementation function rather than a seat in a support queue, real customer contact from the first weeks, structured training through our Melora Institute curriculum, direct access to the founder, and a substantive written reference. Implementation and customer onboarding is a well-paid, in-demand B2B SaaS career track that almost nobody enters deliberately.
Skills required: customer onboarding, training and enablement, technical writing, documentation, Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, project coordination, attention to detail, fluent English. Nice to have: association or chamber experience, CRM or AMS administration, customer success, event management.
