This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in Brazil.Position SummaryThis role is a Sr. Business Analyst, SAP MM, within our Global Product Development group, supporting Brazil and Latin America. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver SAP system–specific legislative and regulatory updates for customers, ensuring their SAP systems remain compliant with legal requirements published by government authorities and regulatory agencies worldwide.Sr. Business Analyst, SAP combine deep product expertise with up-to-date tax and regulatory knowledge to produce system impact assessments, functional specifications, and test strategies for Development and QA teams. The position follows each tax and regulatory change from discovery through successful translation into an application update, supporting multiple SAP modules.This role is critical to delivering high-quality solutions to clients and ensuring that mission-critical enterprise applications remain compliant. It requires strong expertise to diagnose complex issues and to work closely with Scrum and Kanban teams to develop, test, package, and deliver fixes in highly integrated and customized environments.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTranslate tax and regulatory requirements from LATAM countries, including Brazil, into system changes for clients’ ERP environmentsAct as an SAP Subject Matter Expert for Brazil and LATAM tax and regulatory updatesOrganize and facilitate problem-solving discussions with clients and internal operational teams to resolve complex issues related to Brazil and LATAM tax and regulatory updatesProvide in-depth functional and technical knowledge of SAP systems across multiple versionsEnsure full product compliance with applicable legislation and regulations through detailed analysis of tax and legislative changes and the production of Business Analysis and Functional Specifications for specific SAP modulesProvide in-depth knowledge of Brazil business processes from an end-to-end perspectiveAnalyze, design, and configure complex legislative requirements, including testing updates to ensure compliance, and produce user stories for Scrum teamsAssist in the design of comprehensive test plans to ensure high-quality deliverablesIdentify potential risks or points of contention in deliverables and define mitigation strategies to address timeline or budget constraintsAnticipate issues before they arise, assess risks, identify root causes, and collaborate with teams to implement appropriate solutionsProactively identify risks and issues in development deliveries and support ongoing risk management activitiesAssist with complex troubleshooting of tax and regulatory client casesProvide expertise in the configuration and processing of Latin America legislation within SAPDesign and develop business requirements, functional user stories, configuration requirements, and test plansWork closely with development teams to ensure adherence to functional designs and business requirementsDefine test strategies, review test plans, and perform system testing in collaboration with QA teamsSupport Development and QA Management with planning activities related to tax and regulatory updates (e.g., release planning, bundle scheduling, tracking)Prepare and communicate release documentation, installation instructions, and client configuration guidance for internal teams and customersServe as a liaison between the Global Tax and Regulatory team, Development and QA teams, and clients, ensuring accurate dissemination of Brazil and LATAM legislative informationCommunicate effectively with internal teams and external customersContribute to knowledge-sharing methodologies, diagnostic tools, and process improvements to enhance the client experienceCollaborate effectively within a virtual team environmentDemonstrate commitment to excellence and high-quality standardsExperience10+ years of experience in Brazil SAP projects as a primary responsibilityStrong knowledge of Brazil localization tax and regulatory requirements (e.g., SPED obligations, electronic invoicing (NF-e/NFS-e), ICMS/IPI/ISS compliance, ancillary obligations)Knowledge of Brazilian tax reform topics, including new taxes such as IBS and CBS, and awareness of upcoming regulatory requirementsIn-depth functional and technical understanding of SAP systemsStrong understanding of Brazil business processes from an end-to-end perspective.
