Our project types include new product planning, launch strategy, portfolio planning, disease area strategy and organizational strategy. The majority of our work is in specialty therapeutics, including areas such as oncology, immunology, and rare disease.  Our commercial planning also spans diverse care settings with distinct market access dynamics.As a Manager / Associate Principal with Blue Matter, you will join a startup firm with a dynamic and growing team of seasoned consultants, and have the opportunity to help grow and build the company. You will work collaboratively with senior internal and client team members to address critical business issues in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, and deliver value through providing innovative and actionable solutions to our clients.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead and manage project teams in the delivery of cross-functional projects across multiple areas of expertise, primarily focused on patient services but also including product/program commercialization, launch, strategy, and organizational excellenceSupport project leadership in the development of project objectives; develop and manage project plansIdentify required project tasks, assist project leads in assigning tasks to team members, and demonstrate accountability for ensuring task completionDesign, execute, analyze and synthesize primary and secondary research effortsIdentify key insights, recommendations, opportunities, and threats to inform corporate and commercial strategiesRegularly engage senior-level clientsRecruit, develop and manage top talentIdentify business opportunities and support new business acquisitionDesired Experience and SkillsDemonstrated expertise and experience in patient services commercialization, launch strategy, operations and continuous improvement in efficiencyExperience with patient journeys, process flows/mappings, business rule design, and voice of the customer analysisDemonstrated expertise in supporting the development of effective U.S. patient services strategies: Subject matter expertise in the areas of patient access, affordability, and adherence servicesExperience in / understanding of key market access stakeholders, including patient services, payer, field/sales, trade and channel, marketing, regulatory/complianceExperience in / understanding of strategy, implementation and execution in support of program operations and designExperience in / understanding of evolving healthcare policy and impact on accessDemonstrated subject matter expertise in both the medical and pharmacy benefit across all major US payer segments (e.g., Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and Federal Markets)Demonstrated knowledge of reimbursement methodologies across core sites of care, including physician offices / clinics, hospital outpatient departments, hospital inpatient, and long-term care settingsPrior experience fielding primary market research initiatives in support of commercial strategy campaignsDemonstrated ability to lead multiple workstreams across matrixed teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsPreferred QualificationsBachelors degree5+ years of life sciences consulting experience or comparable biopharma industry experienceCompensation: Base salary range: $160,000 - $225,000 depending on experience.
