We're looking for a Volunteer Co-Director to help build Disabled Voices CIC.Disabled Voices CIC is a disability-led organisation developing accessible emotional support, community connection, and disability-informed services for disabled people across the UK. As we continue building our foundations, we're looking for a Volunteer Co-Director to join our founding leadership team and help shape our vision from the very beginning.This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in creating an organisation that is rooted in lived experience, compassion, accessibility, and meaningful change.This is a remote, flexible volunteer role requiring a commitment of approximately 4–8 hours per week, making it ideal for someone who wants to make a meaningful contribution alongside other work or commitments.As a founding Co-Director, you'll help shape not only our strategy but also our culture, values, and the way we work together. You'll be part of building an organisation designed by disabled people, for disabled people—one that puts connection, dignity, and accessible emotional support at its heart.We're looking for someone who is passionate about:Disability inclusion and accessibilityEmotional wellbeing and community careSocial justice and disability-led leadershipBuilding sustainable services that make a lasting differenceWe're particularly interested in people with experience or strengths in one or more of the following:Strategic leadership and organisational developmentOperations and governanceCommunications, marketing, or public engagementPartnership building and stakeholder engagementFundraising and income generationCharity, CIC, social enterprise, disability, community, or mental health sectorsLived experience of disability is highly valued, and we strongly encourage disabled leaders to express their interest.
