We are searching for talented and passionate people who want to help shape the future of veterinary care.About the PositionAs a Staff Design Engineer at Vetcove, you’ll sit at the intersection of design and engineering. We believe the best user experiences, especially for our furry friends and the veterinarians that care for them, arise from engineers being intimately involved in the design process from the very first wireframe through pixel perfection. You’ll work closely with the design team to brainstorm and iterate on feature enhancements and new user experiences, ensuring a high quality implementation. You’ll be responsible for the highest level of polish across Vetcove’s desktop and mobile applications.What we are looking for:We believe there are a couple traits that will make you perfect for this role:You have an extraordinary attention to detail. Every pixel matters to you.You love React, and love building new React components. You have several years experience working with React and using the latest React features.You are a CSS guru. You love the challenge of building complex interactions purely through CSS.You truly love design and are passionate about exploring the latest design and interaction trends.A passion for pets is always a big plus, but certainly not required!What you’ll do:Collaborate closely with product designers in designing new featuresBring Figma designs to life by implementing modular, reusable React componentsImplement interactions using highly flexible and performant CSS codeExperiment with animations and micro-interactions that are best prototyped through codeWork closely with the front end engineering team to bridge front end logic with designYou should have:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.At least 3 years of experience in software development, including experience in building a professionally successful production application using React.A set of front end components and or designs you’ve implemented that you can share!Benefits (Full Time Roles)100% remote within the USAMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceAutomatic 401k contributionEmployee referral programAt home office set upBi-annual company retreatsOpen vacation policyEquityMonthly team eventsThe typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is: $140,000/year - $220,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations.
