We’re seeking like-minded professionals who embody Islamic values including sincerity, excellence, and compassion, and want to make a difference in the faith of people worldwide.About the roleThe Learning Experience Designer is responsible for creating engaging and effective educational materials aligned with learning objectives set by the Yaqeen Curriculum team. This role involves designing curricula that enhance student learning, integrating best practices in pedagogy, and adapting content to meet the needs of Muslim students. The Learning Experience Designer will work collaboratively with a team to develop lesson plans, assessments, and instructional content that align with the mission and vision of Yaqeen Curriculum. This role is a temporary one-year contract (20 hours/week), with potential for renewal.Application Deadline: November 7, 2025What you'll doBeing able to design curriculum and curricular resources from a standards based approach.Design engaging lesson plans and ensure alignment of learning objectives, instructional strategies, and formative and summative assessment.Regularly attend group meetings, status meetings, and presentations where appropriate.Review external education materials to be used to deepen content knowledge.Develop procedures for teachers to implement curriculum.Participate in internal curriculum reviews and evaluation processes.Continuously update and improve curriculum content based on feedback from the Director of Curriculum, teachers and other stakeholders.Other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in education, curriculum and instruction, Islamic studies, or related field (master’s preferred).Firm understanding and commitment to Islamic educational paradigms and the Islamic sciences.3-5 years of high-school Islamic studies teaching experience.Some curriculum development experience with designing or revising curricula and assessments.Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators and stakeholders.Yaqeen Institute embraces a philosophy that values and promotes diversity.
