Requirements and responsibilities
• Coordinates and lead efforts aimed at improving Internews’ information security for specialized work across the organization.
• Identify gaps and work with teams to develop solutions in line with Internews’ information security polices and implementation principles.
• Conduct and support security awareness trainings as needed for staff and partners.
• Manage Internews vendor and licensing for specialized security tools.
• Serve as the information security representative at internal meetings as requested.
• Prepare secure workspaces and documentation per program needs.
• Participate in the design, testing and implementation of new IT security initiatives.
• Lead the writing of new procedures and documentation related to new IT security policy and procedure.
• Keep informed of current or emerging threats and mitigation techniques as they apply to Internews.
• Understand and demonstrate commitment to upholding Internews’ Core Values.
• Has a lead role in roll-out of the information security initiatives set forth by the IT Dept.
