Join Zoopla, and help us reimagine the property industry! Our vision is to digitise the entire home owning and buying experience. Over the past two years we’ve created a new suite of products that are already delivering results for our estate agents. We’re on a journey to re-define Zoopla class engineering. We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineering Manager to help us build business to business SaaS products which transform the way estate agents conduct their business. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the B2B Platform engineering team. This team is responsible for all of our AWS Cloud infrastructure which supports the B2B SaaS products our customers use. Responsibilities: - Consulting with engineers on best practices for Cloud service consumption. - Infrastructure modernisation / adoption of cloud native services into the business. - Automating infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure As Code. - FinOps; undertaking and advocating awareness across teams. - Implementing and coaching product teams to implement CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions, TeamCity and Octopus. - Building highly fault-tolerant, secure, and scalable applications in Zoopla’s software engineering community, both by consulting with teams, and by building reusable infrastructure-as-code and software components. - Coaching and leading a team of 4-6 platform engineers from a diverse range of work backgrounds, including cloud infrastructure specialists and software-orientated DevOps engineers. - Building and deploying applications on the Cloud using CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code automation. - Designing and implementing distributed, cloud-native systems aligned to the AWS Well-Architected Framework. - Understanding and attributing AWS and other cloud costs to specific teams and services. - Promoting a culture of diversity and inclusion, while focusing on innovation, teamwork and self-improvement. - Coaching and performance management of your engineering team.
