Tropic is looking for its second legal hire to help support and build out our Legal function as we scale the organization. Reporting to the Head of Legal, this role is designed for a scrappy, experienced lawyer who is ready to roll up their sleeves, wear many hats and generally get things done. A large portion of the work for this role will involve drafting and negotiating commercial agreements with customers, strategic partners and software vendors. You may also be called on to assist with various corporate matters like board resolutions, M&A transactions, cap table management and other special projects. Responsibilities: - Draft and negotiate our commercial agreements with customers, strategic partners and suppliers. - Build and improve upon Legal processes and company protocol, and provide periodic training to internal teams. - Partner with our product and regulatory teams to support new product launches and regulatory compliance. - Lead and partner with outside counsel on litigation matters, corporate governance and other external legal work. - Assist with other legal matters and special projects as necessary.
