OverviewThe Data Conversion Analyst provides data conversion, business intelligence, and analytics services to Zuri Group’s clients. This role blends technical execution with consultative client engagement — ideal for someone who enjoys both problem-solving through code and guiding clients through complex data transitions.You’ll work directly with clients to map and convert fundraising data from a variety of legacy systems into modern fundraising databases. Projects typically involve advising clients on software functionality and business process improvement, as well as performing technical tasks like data mapping, system configuration, conversion validation, reporting, and user training.Job ResponsibilitiesParticipate in cross-functional project teams to transition clients from legacy systems and implement new fundraising platforms.Lead client sessions on data mapping and provide best-practice consulting to both technical resources and non-technical resources.Complete multiple test runs and final data conversions with accuracy and efficiency.Perform standard conversion tasks, including data mapping, scripting, and quality assurance.Guide discovery for project deliverables such as software configuration, custom development, and integrations.Analyze client needs and business processes to identify functional and technical requirements that align with their goals.Work with the project team to identify roadblocks and work through problems to help ensure project success. Intentionally cultivating a collaborative environment that encourages creative problem solving from all involved parties.Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Perform individual work, managing time and tasks to complete technical work and maintain project deadlines.Relevant Skills and Experience3–5 years of hands-on experience using SQL for data conversion, migration and transformation tasks, including dynamic SQL, and parameterized queries.Proven ability to create and optimize stored procedures, user-defined functions and views.Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or equivalent tools for development and debugging.Demonstrated proficiency in Excel.Experience with data management tools such as Salesforce or Blackbaud CRM with ETL, Salesforce Data Loader, or Jitterbit.Experience with data mapping and ETL developmentHighly analytical, technically proficient, and quick to learn new software and tools.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.Flexibility in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.Independent problem-solver with creativity and resourcefulness.Familiarity with nonprofit or higher education fundraising processes and data structures.Commitment to fostering an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.Bonus PointsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.Knowledge and functional use of fundraising systems such as Advance, Ascend, Affinaquest, Banner, Blackbaud CRM or Raiser’s Edge.Experience with data visualization tools.Prior consulting experience with nonprofit clients or in higher education.Experience with other data languages (Python, C++, SOQL)SalarySalary range for this role is $87,000 to $106,000, commensurate with experience.LocationWe are currently working remotely with no return to office date.
